If so, you might be a good candidate to be a Territory Manager for The Homesteader. We are always looking for outgoing and talented people to help local businesses target new homeowners.

New homeowners are very curious about their new community. The Homesteader helps them settle in, gives them home improvement ideas, decorating tips, information on the area, local events, and even a restaurant review. We also run a contest each month called “Find the Fake Ad” where readers can look at all the ads in the paper and find the one that isn’t real. Successful readers are entered to win a $50 gift certificate each month.

Ideal candidates will have previous sales experience, have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, and enjoy helping people expand their business and increase their visibility. Selling advertising in The Homesteader is unique because our product and concept are unique. We have successfully merged a monthly publication that is direct-mailed, bulk dropped, and has an online component. Our unique target market and repetition makes our concept a great value and an effective advertising vehicle for most local and regional businesses.
